Solicitor Unrestricted Practicing Certificate (2 positions)

Required Skills

The successful candidates will hold or be eligible to immediately obtain a current unrestricted practicing certificate in South Australia.

You will be a good all-rounder with experience providing high quality advice and representation in the areas of Family Law or Civil Law.

You will be able to work autonomously and cooperatively in a team environment with moderate supervision. You will have strong analytical and written communication skills to provide a high level of legal assistance, be highly organised and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to appear as an advocate in court. 

You will also have a current clean driving licence as you will be required to travel to our Port Pirie office as well as various regional courts and outreach locations.

Mental Health Practitioner- Indigo

Women's Legal Service (SA)

InDIGO Program
The Women’s Legal Service (SA), InDIGO program, provides wrap around legal and non-legal support to women experiencing domestic violence. Assistance will be provided to women through intensive case management and will be delivered and targeted to women with the greatest needs.

The InDIGO program is located at Christies Beach. The program includes outreach to services in multiple locations across the southern metropolitan region catchment area.

About the role

The Mental Health Practitioner will:

provide intensive case management for women with complex mental health issues develop trauma-informed practice strategies and tools
develop and deliver community education outreach to services in multiple locations
The successful applicant will need to have relevant tertiary qualification and a minimum of 3 years experience.

The position is full time however part-time can be negotiated. Some intra-state travel may be required.

Lawyer
knowmore legal service Adelaide SA

About the Role

knowmore’s lawyers will provide high quality legal services to clients in a culturally safe and appropriate manner within a trauma informed and multi-disciplinary framework.

This role delivers front line legal services and reports directly to the Managing Lawyer. This role works collaboratively as a member of the national legal team and within knowmore’s multi-disciplinary model, working alongside other teams delivering intake, social work and cultural support services to clients. At times the role will also work with other partner services to support clients.

The role will advise clients who are survivors of child sexual abuse about redress and compensation options, including redress claims under the National Redress Scheme, and acting for clients making such claims. Lawyers will also contribute to knowmore’s policy and law reform work and prepare and deliver community legal education and participate in other community engagement activities, working cooperatively and collaboratively with other staff and service providers.

Family Violence Legal Service Aboriginal Corporation

Senior Solicitor - This role requires a Solicitor with extensive experience working in the field of Family Law, Child Protection and Victims of Crime.  An Unrestricted Practicing Certificate is a requirement of the role with at least 5 years relevant experience.

The position is designed for an experienced practitioner who enjoys working with a close-knit team and has excellent problem solving skills.

Unrestricted Solicitor - We are seeking an experienced practitioner with at least 2 years post admission experience, with an Unrestricted Practicing Certificate and experience in Family Law, Child Protection and Victims of Crime.

The role offers a rewarding balance of legal experience, the opportunity to develop client management skills, and developing and maintaining strong community networks.

Restricted Solicitor - The successful applicant will be admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia, and may be a relatively inexperienced practitioner with a Restricted practising certificate.

You must be able to demonstrate an understanding of legal and social issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and demonstrate your ability to empathise and communicate effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
